FLEX Pass Fitness
Enjoy the flexibility of the punch pass system and the variety of fitness classes. Mix and match any of the designated classes and work your fitness schedule. Visit any of these highlighted classes and purchase a punch pass from the instructor. There is no specified expiration date, but pass should be used during the class sessions as listed.
Registration for punch pass classes is currently not available through on-line registration.
Fee: $28 for 8 class visits
Pilates: (FLEX Pass)
Instructor: Kate Regula
This class offers focused exercises to improve core strength as well as flexibility, posture and body awareness. You will learn to control your movements by centering your mind, concentrating on your body and breathing into a flowing precision of exercises. The instructor will offer modifications and all fitness levels are welcome. Please bring yoga mat and water.

FitLife (FLEX Pass)

This is an excellent class for ages 50+ and for anyone who wants to improve flexibility, muscle tone and joint range of motion. The class will energize you and the convenience of a punch pass puts you in control of your fitness schedule. Bring water. Summer Fit Mix

Jump into fitness with this fun mix which includes the exhilarating vibe of ZUMBAâ„¢ fitness, cardio kickboxing, plyometrics, resistance training as well as basic pilates and yoga moves to increase strength and flexibility.

Teen Xtreme: ages 13+

Xtreme Fit Studio and Frederick County Parks and Recreation have teamed up to introduce the FIRST specialized class just for TEENS! These classes not only combine dance, body resistance, athletic conditioning, and calisthenics for energizing workouts; but we also are incorporating basic principles of nutrition and wellness. Each week we will focus on interactive topics such as healthy breakfasts on-the-go, establishing a healthy body image, creating a fitness program that works, and more. All classes will conclude with a quick healthy meal/snack demonstration and take home recipes. Working together to bring to you new ways to be successful in adapting healthy behaviors that last a lifetime!

Kidz Hip Hop

Looking for a new and FUN way to work your fitnesss? This class is for kids only or if a kid wants to bring an adult along that is fine with us. Check out the cool dance moves and the latest kid friendly urban tunes combining to help improve coordination and cardiovascular health. Child/parent combos available as we believe that a lifetime of fitness starts with family!

Splash Aquatic Boot Camp: ages 13+
Do you want to take part in the new fitness craze that is sweeping the nation? SPLASH Aquatic Boot Camp (SBC) will get you in the best shape of your life. It is designed around the military deep sea diver training and incorporates deep water intervals, water sprints, sports drills, and circuits. Using the properties of water, these exercises are designed to improve your strength and stamina using coordination and agility. SBC improves oxygen metabolism, improves swimming efficiency, and tones your entire body. While the class is serious physical conditioning, it is also a lot of fun, is easy on your joints, and you can work at your own pace!

Take the plunge for a workout that is no impact! This class will use a variety of deep and shallow water exercises to offer you a great cardiovascular workout that will help increase muscle strength and endurance. What a great way to end your day!

Fitness Rooms
Community Center at Sherando High School
For your healthy lifestyle, the following equipment is available: Life Fitness Pro 2 Series: Chest press, leg curl, leg extension, seated leg press, and shoulder press; Landice Treadmill; Pro Elite Chin & Dip; Quantum Bicep/Tricep and Lat Pulldown/Mid Row, and an abdominal curl and pec fly; Nordic Track Treadmill, two Ellipticals, and a seated bike. Center Staff is trained in the proper use of this equipment and will assist when necessary.
Fee: $1 for students; $2 for adults; discount passes are available for purchase.
Hours: M-F: 3-9 p.m., S: 8 a.m.-12 p.m., SU: closed

Community Center at Greenwood Elementary School
For your healthy lifestyle, the following equipment is available: 3 ellipticals, 4 treadmills, 2 recumbent Lifecycles, 2 upright Lifecycles, a Summitt Trainer, 5 multi-use weight stations, a flat bench and dumbbells, jump ropes, and stability balls.
Fee: $1 for students; $2 for adults; discount passes will be available for purchase.

: M-F, 6:30 a.m.-9 p.m., S 8 a.m.-12 p.m.; SU closed. Additional weekend hours will be posted on the web and on site.
