Clearbrook Park Introduction
Traveling just five miles of north of Winchester allows you to experience the 55 acres of Clearbrook Park which include:

Shelters
Shelters are available for rent for your company picnic, family reunion, or any occasion! We begin taking reservations on the first business day in January. You may also reserve your shelter on line. The current fees are:

2013 Pool Schedule
May 25, 26, 27 and June 1, 2, 8, 9: noon-7 p.m.

June 14*- August 23: 12:15-5:15 p.m. (M-TH) and noon-7 p.m. (F, S, SU)

August 24, 25, 31, and September 1, 2: noon-7 p.m.


Clearbrook Pool will be closed 8/19-8/23
*The pools will be open seven days a week beginning with the first day of summer vacation for the Frederick County Public School system and will only be open on weekends through Labor Day once the FCPS 2012-2013 school year has started.

Pool Rentals:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:15 p.m.-9:15 p.m. Rentals by reservation only and with at least one week notice. Reservations are accepted beginning in January of the same calendar year. Reservation must be paid in full at time reservation is made.
Fee: $200 for residents, $250 for non-County residents.

Passes:
Save 20% off of the regular admission price by purchasing multiple visit passes for the price of $2.40/visit. Punch passes are valid at either Sherando or Clearbrook pools. A minimum of 10 visits must be purchased.

Refund Policy:
Refunds will be given until a program begins, however, a 20% administrative charge will be deducted. No refunds will be given after the start of a program unless special circumstances warrant. All requests for refunds must be in writing. In some cases, household accounts will be credited for future use in lieu of cash refunds. Credit card refunds will be applied to credit card accounts; no cash refunds will be issued on credit card charges.

Rules and Regulations
We hope you enjoy your visit to the Frederick County Public Parks. While visiting your parks please be courteous to others and be aware of the following rules and regulations.
I. Accidents/Injuries
Any person witnessing or involved in an accident in a park should report it to the Park Ranger, Park Manager, or the Parks and Recreation Department, 665-5678.

II. Alcoholic Beverages
The possession of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on park property. No intoxicated person shall enter or remain in the parks. Frederick County Parks and Recreation reserves the right to inspect coolers and containers.

III. Tobacco
Tobacco products are prohibited within 50 feet of athletic complexes, playgrounds, and swimming pool areas.

IV. Animals and Pets
Animals must be kept under control at all times. Pets must be on leash no longer than six feet. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Pets are prohibited on or within 50 feet of athletic complexes, playgrounds, and swimming pool areas.

V. Camping
Persons shall not camp or lodge within any park.

VI. Digging or Excavating
Digging or Excavating on park property is prohibited unless written permission is granted by the Parks and Recreation Director or his designee.

VII. Conduct of Park Visitors
1. No person shall damage, move or remove any park property, either man-made or natural.
2. No person shall buy, sell or solicit contributions nor distribute or post handbills, or advertisements.
3. Repairs to vehicles are not allowed in the parks, except in the case of emergency.
4. Public gatherings, concerts or public entertainment are prohibited.
5. Amplified/Power Assisted Music by Permit Only.
6. No Loitering.
7. Gambling or betting is not permitted on park property.
8. The carrying or discharging of any fireworks, or explosives is prohibited.
9. Boisterous, riotous, threatening, or indecent conduct or language shall not be allowed in the parks.
10. Fires are restricted to approved cooking and picnic grills and must be attended at all times. Fires muste be completely extinguished. The use of a generator is prohibited unless approved in advance by the Parks and Recreation Department.
11. Park visitors shall not enter, cross, trespass or disturb adjacent land or property.
12. Motorized vehicles are restricted to designated roadways and parking areas. No private vehicles are permitted in maintenance areas, on maintenance access roads, or on trails.
13. All park roadways are considered public roadways and therefore are subject to all state and local laws. The speed limit in county parks is 15 MPH unless posted otherwise.
14. Parking in areas other than those officially designated for such purposes is prohibited unless directed by park personnel.
15. There shall be no feeding, hunting, molesting, trapping, harassing or destroying of animals or wildlife in parks.
16. No littering. Use receptacles provided. No person shall place any litter from any private or commercial properties on any park grounds or in any park receptacles.
17. Public is restricted from entering the maintenance facility.
VIII. Park Hours
1. Parks will open at 8:00 AM and close at the time posted at the entrance to the park or at the discretion of the Parks and Recreation Department.
2. Natural areas and adjacent parking areas shall close at dark.
3. The Parks and Recreation Department and/or the Park Manager may close a park or facility when activities are canceled due to inclement weather.

IX. Shelter Reservations
1. All reservations must be made in writing through the Parks and Recreation Department.
2. Reservations must be made within one week of desired day of picnic.
3. Reservations will be made on a first-come first-serve basis.
4. Groups using a reserved area will be held responsible for clean-up of said area.

X. Fishing
1. State game laws govern all fishing in county parks.
2. Trout license required at Clearbrook Park.

XI. Swimming
1. Swimming is prohibited in all county park lakes.

XII. Frisbee Golf Course at Sherando Park only
1. Players must abide by rules posted at beginning of course.
2. Course closed to public during tournaments.
